According to data collected by Best New Bingo Sites—which analyzed TripAdvisor reviews and tracked keywords like “dirty,” “smelly,” “unhygienic,” and “filthy”—only 0.49% of reviews for the famous East End stadium mentioned cleanliness issues.
This figure stands in stark contrast to Scotland’s Hampden Park, a venue for high-profile club and international matches, where a significant 13.3% of TripAdvisor reviews raised concerns about dirtiness.
Sheffield Wednesday’s Hillsborough Stadium followed closely with 12.97%, while their local rivals, Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane, ranked third at 6.4%. Cardiff City Stadium took fourth place (6.25%), and Wembley, England’s national stadium, came fifth with 4.34% of negative reviews.
Beyond football, London’s Copper Box Arena was rated the dirtiest venue in the country, with 17.96% of reviews citing poor hygiene. Manchester’s Co-op Live followed at 17.82%, while Aberdeen’s P+J Live placed third at 15.81%.
Sue Dawson, Operations Director at Best New Bingo Sites, commented: “We encourage fans to keep sharing honest reviews about stadiums and arenas so others can make informed choices about where to spend their time and money. These insights also help venues understand visitor experiences and identify areas for improvement.”
