The Case for Dropping Joel Piroe
Piroe, handed a 4/10 rating by the Yorkshire Evening Post, has struggled with the physicality of the Premier League. In two starts against Everton and Arsenal, he has lost nine of his ten duels and failed to win a single ground duel. He has managed just one shot on target and created zero chances for his teammates.
While he faced elite defenders in William Saliba and Gabriel, he was consistently second to the ball and unable to compete. His replacement in both games, Lukas Nmecha, has provided a stark contrast. Though introduced in difficult circumstances, Nmecha used his frame effectively to hold up the ball and relieve pressure.

With a physical battle against Newcastle looming, Farke may need to be ruthless. Dropping both Gruev and Piroe for that match could provide the strength and fight needed to compete.
